About The Event

The Gong Puja is an opportune occasion to sleep or meditate in silence throughout the night bathed in the sounds and vibrations of multiple gongs for 8 hours continuously. A night to surrender to the guidance of your soul, to dive deep into self healing meditation and lucid dreaming state, to let go of old stagnant energies and thought patterns, letting the sounds and vibrations of the gongs cleanse what no longer serves you.

Sleeping in the energy of the Gong Puja space will most likely be dominated by Theta brainwaves, as the gong sounds may bring up visions and induce healing from our subconscious reality. Some sensitive participants may have a very colourful and adventure-filled sleep, while someone over-tired may go into deep dreamless sleep for most of the night.

‪The deep complex overtones of multiple gongs resonate continuously throughout the night, melting away boundaries between being awake and asleep. Attending a Gong Puja is a unique and liberating experience and its effects can be felt for a number of days afterwards.

This Puja will take place in Luthersekerk, located in the centre of The Hague. A hidden gem behind the large wooden doors with phenomenal acoustics, the church was built between 1759 and 1761 to a design by architects Pieter de Swart and Coenraet Hoeneker. It is an aisleless church with a brick façade in the classicist style, as is common in The Hague. The interior is white plastered and features Ionic pilasters along the walls. As usual in Lutheran churches, the liturgical center is in the middle of the church. The brass gates on either side depict the story of Jonah and the whale. In addition to church services, concerts are regularly held in the church today, especially on the famous Bätz organ.

***Although the session is open to everyone, we recommend that you have listened to live gongs at least once, as these are the only sounds you will hear for 8 hours continuously.

***Please bring your own blanket or sleeping bag, pillow and a cover for the mattress. The mattress is included.
