About The Event
During the sound bath the listener is deeply immersed in sounds and vibrations that have the power to cleanse the soul and restore the balance. It is a holistic approach to relaxation and healing, a journey of self-discovery through a state of deep meditation. The powerful sounds of gongs and singing bowls facilitates a shift in brainwaves from our normal waking state to alpha and theta states that are akin to meditation and where true somatic healing occur. The sounds can cleanse the subconscious and bring one into a state of deep rest and expansion of the consciousness. Tensions and blockages in the body can be released, creating more space for the opening of the heart and allowing energy to flow better.
Agnes church is known for its many beautiful stained glass windows and its excellent acoustics. The church still bears the name of St. Agnes, virgin and martyr, the name that the parish received when it was founded in 1896. In 1983 the church was partly destroyed by a fire, but fortunately fully restored and in December 1984 rededicated.
